Think of memories passed

Think of happiness lost

Think of the regrets you feel

Think of what I never said

Think of what you did say

Think of the actions never took

for reasons that mean nothing now

Think of the lines never written

for fear of judgement

Think of the pit in my chest

like a sour cherry pit on top of a scoop of vanilla

Think of the abandon

because you didn’t realize how many you had to love and be loved by

Think of the stars and the expanse

Think of yourself as a pin prick

but still part of a larger whole

Think of a diamond

and how your cracks aren’t so deep,

your worth not at all lost.

Think of flying through

cotton candy clouds

Think of sleeping on

grass blades tipped with sweet dew at the twilight hour
